Official Gmail Blog: Create your Google Profile
Google launched their own version of public profile. As far as I know, it's been there for years. Just now they decided to boost it a little by allowing Google Users to add more information to their profile.
It's not rich; not when compared to other social networking sites such as Facebook or Friendster. Actually I find it quite simple, except for the part where you can actually put up your "Superpower" in your profile. I guess the Google team always have time for jokes.
Nevertheless, I took the liberty of having another profile to attend to. The main reason behind it was because I'm curious of what Google has to offer in the future. Why? Because looking at the progress in Gmail (the all time beta-status email service), it seems the Google team likes to lay it piece by piece. So maybe Google profile could have more to offer than just showing my profile at the bottom of U.S. name-query search pages; this is most unlikely looking at the fact that my name is Amir Syafrudin.
In any case, enjoy a Google Profile if you will. You might (or might not) find something interesting in it. While you're at it, why not spare your time and have a look at my profile.
